Uni of brighton

From small beginnings in 1850s Brighton, the University of Brighton has grown to a complex and diverse institution based in two locations across the south coast of England. Our ethos is defined by four core values: inclusivity, sustainability, creativity, partnership.

Our students are part of a dynamic, diverse, and creative community that embraces partnership working and that makes a positive difference to society. We have 17,000 students and 2,150 staff studying and working at our three campuses in Brighton. Subjects taught here range from medicine to engineering, psychology to illustration, sport science to English literature.

Students are at the heart of all that we do and take an active role in their learning experience. They leave us ready to make a difference to the world.

Transport information

Our City Campus is a 15-minute walk from Brighton station, and both Moulsecoomb and Falmer campuses are within 10 minutes’ walk of local train stations. All campuses are well served by public transport and Brighton & Hove Buses operate in the city and surrounding areas. Train stations on the Southern Railway line are within walking distance of all campuses.
