We know how tough it can be supporting young people through the different stages of education and into careers when the landscape is changing so rapidly and when there are so many opportunities on offer.

That’s why we’ve decided to start a new series of Get Career Confident workshops, starting this September 2023. Each hour-long session will be dedicated to a particular theme and will be packed with information and practical advice and tips for bringing the issue to life, together with pointers to useful, tried and tested resources. Topics that will be covered over the first few months include:

  • Alternatives to university: In this session we'll look at how to help your students discover all the different possible progression pathways and how to access them
  • Who am I? A session looking at imaginative ways to help your students identify their strengths, interests and personal qualities and relate these back to possible careers
  • Is that really a career? A session in which we’ll explore how you can use the Labour Market Index to inspire students to think more broadly about their possible career options
  • Making good choices: In this session we'll look at decision making processes and how to make strong, informed decisions
Will robots take over? During this future gazing session we’ll be looking at how the jobs landscape is changing and how students can adapt and evolve their skills to stay ahead

The workshops will largely be delivered in person, but we can also arrange for them to happen online. Click here to view a list of workshops and book your space.
