Uplands Community College is proud of its highly successful, caring Sixth Form college. We are set in one of the most beautiful parts of East Sussex, with breathtaking countryside providing a picturesque backdrop to our new, multi-million pound build (opening 2021). As a smaller college, we offer the advantage of much smaller class sizes (usually around ten students per course).
This allows our teachers to work more closely, supporting students as individuals and not a group. We specialise in traditional, academic subjects and our results in 2020 would have placed us high in the top 20% of the country (for progress) in any other year.
Away from lessons, we have a vibrant student life. Our sixth formers support a range of charities throughout the school year, run a summer ball (all being well), work on the 'Life Stories' project with a local residential home and are currently fundraising for their own Garden Area project.
Transport information
We are a ten minute drive from both the A21 and the A26, plus we have excellent bus links with all surrounding villages and towns and a regular train service from the London to Hastings line.
How to apply
You can apply directly by completing the application form found on our website. Our base requirement is a minimum of five GCSEs at grade 5 or above (including English Language and Maths). Each course then has its own specific requirements which can be found in our prospectus.
